Meanwhile, Vista del Lago earned a 2-0 victory over Patterson on Saturday. Given Vista del Lago's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Patterson is ranked 454th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rio Americano has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-3-2 record this season. As for Vista del Lago, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-2.
Rio Americano beat Vista del Lago 2-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rio Americano since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
