Bishop O'Dowd is 7-2 against Encinal since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Dragons will look to defend their home field against the Jets at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Bishop O'Dowd has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Encinal is facing Bishop O'Dowd at the wrong time: Bishop O'Dowd suffered their first home loss of the season on Saturday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 9-8. That's two games in a row now that the Dragons have lost by just one run.
Bishop O'Dowd got a good showing from Charlie Sellman, who didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Sellman a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Lucas Partrite made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Marco Cecchin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Encinal entered their tilt with Northgate on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Broncos.
Kyle Cooke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Encinal's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Evan Furuichi, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Encinal hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northgate struck out ten times.
Bishop O'Dowd's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Encinal, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop O'Dowd has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Encinal struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bishop O'Dowd got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Encinal by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
