Discovery Canyon had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by  a  12-0 margin over the Lewis-Palmer Rangers on Wednesday. With that  win, the Thunder brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.

The team  relied heavily on  Taylor McCann, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Izzie Ackerman, who  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with four  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Discovery Canyon  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis-Palmer only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
Discovery Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Lewis-Palmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
 Looking ahead, Discovery Canyon will challenge Pueblo Central at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Thunder's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.6  runs per game this season. Lewis-Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
