The Service Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bartlett. That's two games in a row now that Service has lost by exactly four points.
Service's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karlierose Lealaisalanos, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lealaisalanos has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryanna Watson, who scored 16 points.
Service dropped their record down to 6-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bartlett, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
Service won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eagle River at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Service is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Bartlett, they will head out on the road to take on Grace Christian at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bartlett in Alaska (Grace Christian is ranked third, while Bartlett is ranked 26th).
