The Flomaton Hurricanes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 69-60 victory over Central. The win was just what Flomaton needed coming off of a 70-49 loss in their prior matchup.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Ellison, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Dakota Bowman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Flomaton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-10 record this season. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
Flomaton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Cottage Hill Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Flomaton in Alabama (Cottage Hill Christian Academy is ranked 87th, while Flomaton is ranked 345th). Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ponce De Leon at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th. Ponce De Leon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 195 points over their last three matches.
