If the Veritas Academy Monarch were feeling good off their 47-16 takedown of the Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between Veritas Academy and Linville Hill wasn't particularly close, with Veritas Academy falling 50-35.
Linville Hill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abrielle Fisher, who scored 15 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fisher has scored all season. Courtney Good was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Linville Hill, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Academy will take on Lancaster County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Lancaster County Christian: 27.4, Veritas Academy: 28.8) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Linville Hill, they will be playing at home against Alliance Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alliance Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
