Verndale won the last time they met up with Rothsay, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Everything came up roses for Verndale against Rothsay on Friday as the team secured a 60-14 victory. Followers of Verndale probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
The win bumped Verndale's record up to 5-0. The loss dropped Rothsay's record to 2-3.
Verndale will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Hancock. Those two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Rothsay, they will face off against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.
