It's playoff time, and Lincoln had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Washington Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lincoln got a big performance out of Aidan Castaneda, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Castaneda has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jerry Hou, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
The victory made it two in a row for Lincoln and bumps their season record up to 14-12. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.
As of now, neither Lincoln nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
