Homer-Center scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They really took it to Purchase Line for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-25 victory at home. That 35 points margin sets a new team best for Homer-Center this season.
United has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Penns Manor on Thursday.
Mollee Fry put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Perrone, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Homer-Center back to even at 5-5. As for United, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Homer-Center was able to grind out a solid win over United when the teams last played back in March of 2023, winning 52-45. Does Homer-Center have another victory up their sleeve, or will United turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
