Kennedy found their leader in sophomore Ariana Navarro, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Navarro has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liz Tirona, who posted eight points along with five boards and three steals.
Kennedy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They are 12-4 when they hit their own glass that hard.
Oxford Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashley Ventura, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Chloe Chen was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 17 points.
Kennedy pushed their record up to 17-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Oxford Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-12.
Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-24 loss against Pilibos on the 22nd. Oxford Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
