Fans were treated to a battle of the Titans on Friday. Temescal Canyon had just enough and edged out Tahquitz 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Temescal Canyon has posted since March 28th.

Gannon Gonzales made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Gonzales wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Reece, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Temescal Canyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Tahquitz, their record now sits at 14-8.
