They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 win over Bloomsburg. Given Loyalsock Township's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Bloomsburg is ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Bloomsburg still got an impressive performance from Brynna Zentner, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. That was a full 34.4% of Bloomsburg's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Teagan Serrano was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Bloomsburg struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Loyalsock Township pushed their record up to 14-2 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Bloomsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Loyalsock Township will square off against Warrior Run at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bloomsburg, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mount Carmel at 7:15 p.m.
