Baseball Game Preview: Chilhowie Warriors vs. Castlewood Blue Devils

Chilhowie has gone a perfect 3-0 against Castlewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Chilhowie's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Castlewood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Chilhowie is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Patrick Henry just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Castlewood was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The contest marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

Chilhowie's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Castlewood, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Everything went Chilhowie's way against Castlewood in their previous matchup back in June of 2025, as Chilhowie made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
