Fossil Ridge had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 6-14-1 to make it four. They fell just short of the Rocky Mountain Lobos by a score of 11-10. The SaberCats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lobos earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Briella Myers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Bullers, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
As for Rocky Mountain, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 5th.
On Rocky Mountain's side, Grace Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over eight innings while giving up six earned (and four unearned) runs off 13 hits. Those ten strikeouts gave Brown a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kiana Villa, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Audrey Abernathy, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Fossil Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-8 victory against Poudre on the 9th. As for Rocky Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Ralston Valley on the 9th.
