Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Elgin/Pope John, falling 79-28. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.
Elgin/Pope John can attribute much of their success to Keyera Eisenhauer, who scored 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eisenhauer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashlynne Charf, who scored ten points.
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Elgin/Pope John, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home.
After both having extra time off, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and Crofton will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another on February 6th. Crofton will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Elgin/Pope John will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chambers/Wheeler Central at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th.
