Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dougherty). Everything went their way against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes on Thursday as the Dougherty Trojans made off with an 11-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Dougherty's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Monroe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dougherty will venture away from home to square off against Peach County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Peach County will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Dougherty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monroe, they will take on Lanier County at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Monroe will be up against Lanier County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.8 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
