Basketball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Inlet Grove

Inlet Grove won the last time they faced Somerset Academy - Canyons and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Inlet Grove Hurricanes secured a 67-63 W over the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Inlet Grove was led to victory by Robert Brown and Jorden Black. Brown went 5 of 10 on his way to 19 points and five assists, while Black went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The contest was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayler Hodge White, who posted five points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Inlet Grove pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Inlet Grove will take on Somerset College Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Somerset College Prep Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they will challenge St. John Paul II Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. John Paul II Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Somerset Academy - Canyons likes a good challenge.
