They walked away with a 54-41 win over Carson. That's another feather in the cap for San Pedro, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
San Pedro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noelani Raigans out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals. Raigans is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Maia Wooldridge was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five blocks.
Carson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robyn Raphiel, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Raphiel has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Monica Hayden, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
San Pedro is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Carson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Pedro will challenge Banning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will head out on the road to face off against Narbonne at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
