If Peyton was feeling good  fresh off their  32-6 takedown of Estes Park last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell  14-7 to the Rye Thunderbolts on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbolts apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Rye's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Jackson Bjorum, who rushed for 90 yards and one  score on only 11 carries.  Kyran Baker did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85  receiving yards.
Peyton's defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rye, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Peyton will  take on  rival Colorado Springs Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Rye is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Ellicott  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
