If the Kaiser Cats were riding high off their 46-6 takedown of the La Puente Warriors last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kaiser was dealt a 55-27 defeat at the hands of Rialto on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kaiser in their matchups with Rialto: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Rialto to victory were Destiny Rabino and Carrington Davis. Rabino scored 23 points along with seven rebounds, while Davis dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Davis' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Yamileth Perez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Kaiser's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Rialto, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kaiser will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Norte Vista at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. Norte Vista is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Rialto, they will head out on the road to face off against Colton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 733rd, while Rialto is ranked 35th).
