Mercersburg Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Goodhart led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Goodhart is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Allister Caretti was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Mercersburg Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Peddie, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercersburg Academy will take on Hill School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hill School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Peddie, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pennington at 4:15 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Pennington is ranked 22nd, while Peddie is ranked 24th).
