The Woodward Academy War Eagles will face off against the Lakeside Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Woodward Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Dunwoody, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Woodward Academy put the hurt on Dunwoody with a sharp 14-5 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the War Eagles considering their two-run performance the match before.

Carson Ray was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Chance Dixon was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Lakeside put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They didn't even let Tri-Cities on the board, marking Lakeside's second-straight 15-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Luke Barron made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
In other pitching news, Noah Hathaway looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since March 1st.
Back at the plate, Aidan Conrad was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of James Huey, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double.
Lakeside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Woodward Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Woodward Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Lakeside struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits.
