In what's become a running theme this season, the Chambers Cougars gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 78-35 win over West Charlotte on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-23.
Jordan Patton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Maurio Hanson II was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
West Charlotte's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Amen Pressley, who scored 12 points, and Damani Day who scored ten points.
Chambers' victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for West Charlotte, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chambers will take on Mallard Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mallard Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for West Charlotte, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome North Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. North Mecklenburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
