The Northglenn Norsemen will face off against the Mountain Range Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northglenn has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Things were looking good for Northglenn after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Riverdale Ridge, falling 14-4. The Norsemen haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jocelyn Evans was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and 12 unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Evans wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kloe Barela, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mountain Range hadn't done well against Loveland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Red Wolves with a sharp 11-1 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Like Northglenn, Mountain Range also got a great game from a two-way player: Adriana Vigil. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Vigil was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
In other batting news, Shawn Lee was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Abby Judd was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Mountain Range was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Mountain Range has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Northglenn, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Mountain Range's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Northglenn has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Mountain Range, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will Northglenn keep running through batters, or will the Mustangs buck the trend?
Everything went Northglenn's way against Mountain Range in their previous matchup back in September, as Northglenn made off with a 13-2 win. Do the Norsemen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
