Palmyra is 8-2 against Red Land since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Palmyra Cougars will be home for the holidays to greet the Red Land Patriots at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Palmyra has three straight wins, Red Land has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Palmyra humbled Hershey with a 58-17 victory.
Meanwhile, Red Land suffered a rough 55-30 loss at the hands of Northeastern last Friday. While losing is never fun, Red Land can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while Northeastern is ranked 59th).
Palmyra's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for Red Land, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Palmyra didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Red Land when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win. Does Palmyra have another victory up their sleeve, or will Red Land turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
