Flint River Academy took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Harvester Christian Academy Hawks by a score of 7-2. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sullivan Jones and Brack Spangler were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Jones tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Spangler didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. At the plate, Jones scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Spangler went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Harvester Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Flint River Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Windsor Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harvester Christian Academy, they will square off against Atlanta Jewish Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
