The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Everett. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bedford of the 49-38 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Bedford saw an underclassman step up: Rebekah Costal scored 15 points. Shannon Letrent was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
It was another big night for Cloe Price, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks for Everett. Price is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Colledge, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Bedford has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Everett, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Bedford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Penn Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Penn Cambria focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Monday. As for Everett, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fannett Metal at 7:30 p.m. Fannett Metal will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 648th, while Everett is ranked 258th).
