Cochranton strolled past Sharpsville with points to spare, taking the game 57-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cochranton.
Cochranton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Macie Williams out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Williams continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby McBryar, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Sharpsville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Macie Steiner. Despite the final result, she scored 29 points. That's the first time this season that Steiner scored 15 or more points. Brooklyn Ramsey was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Cochranton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Sharpsville, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
