The Elsinore Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Linfield Christian with a sharp 67-46 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Elsinore as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Leading Elsinore to victory were Miranda Garcia and Ashirah Washington-Williams. Garcia scored 17 points, while Washington-Williams scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Washington-Williams has scored at least 25% of Elsinore's points. Another player making a difference was Iree Mativa, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.
Elsinore now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Linfield Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-10.
Elsinore will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Redlands East Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. Redlands East Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Linfield Christian will take on Southlands Christian in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. Southlands Christian's defense has only allowed 19.4 points per game this season, so Linfield Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Linfield Christian.
