The Quartz Hill Royals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Antelope Valley by a score of 65-54. The win was just what Quartz Hill needed coming off of a 74-39 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Ashantee Palmer, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mandy Frozina, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists.
Despite the loss, Antelope Valley still got an impressive performance from Ariana Soil, who scored 34 points. Another player making a difference was Deangela Lovely, who scored 11 points.
Quartz Hill's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Antelope Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quartz Hill will face off against Rosamond at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Rosamond will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Antelope Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Knight at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
