Masterman's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Christian Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Masterman came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Faith Christian Academy is ranked 406th).
Despite the loss, Masterman still got an impressive performance from Jocelyn Goldstein, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. That was a full 66.7% of Masterman's points, marking the 20th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Brunelli, who scored 11 points.
Masterman dropped their record down to 17-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Faith Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
Masterman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Faith Christian Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
