The Palo Verde Titans will take on the Bisbee Pumas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Palo Verde is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Santa Rita 77-0 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won four games in a row.

Jackson Tyson was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 23 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 70 yards and one TD on only five passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (143.8).
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palo Verde was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Palo Verde didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kameron Pippen and J'Chon Brown. Palo Verde got some further help from Isaac Ndatimana: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bisbee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-0 win over Tombstone. Considering the Pumas' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Palo Verde better keep an eye on Hunter Wright. He was instrumental in Bisbee's win, picking up 281 receiving yards and three scores, while also rushing for 215 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. Tryston Meyer was another key player, throwing for 365 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes.
Bisbee's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Tripp Turner, Luis Hoyos, and Izaiah Montiel, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Tombstone's side was Fabian Hernandez, who made 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Palo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bisbee, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Palo Verde has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bisbee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 153.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Palo Verde was taken down by Bisbee 47-20 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
