Kehillah is 1-9 against Summit Shasta since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Kehillah Rams will head out on the road to take on the Summit Shasta Black Bears at 4:30 p.m. Kehillah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1323rd, while Summit Shasta is ranked 422nd).
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Kehillah, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-29 loss to Pacific Bay Christian. Kehillah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kehillah might have lost, but man, Ariella Sheppard was a machine: she scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 86.2% of Kehillah's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Summit Shasta put the finishing touches on their 16th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Design Tech at home to the tune of 70-19. The victory was nothing new for Summit Shasta as they're now sitting on six straight.
Kehillah has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Summit Shasta, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Kehillah took a serious blow against Summit Shasta in their previous matchup back in January, falling 66-11. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kehillah was down 49-4.
