On Saturday, things could have been worse for Upper Merion Area, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-22 loss to the Magic.
Upper Merion Area's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devon Maiden, who scored nine points along with four steals. That was a full 40.9% of Upper Merion Area's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Kokenberger, who scored six points.
Upper Merion Area's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Upper Merion Area will head out on the road to square off against the Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Interboro is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will take on the Jems at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
