They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Dunwoody Wildcats. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
Grant Thurmond made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Thurmond was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.
Thurmond wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Kalifeh, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
