The Liberty Bison will be home for the holidays to greet the Citrus Hill Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty will be strutting in after a win while Citrus Hill will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Liberty beat West Valley 39-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty.
Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from AJ Enguillado, who scored ten points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Enguillado has scored at least 25% of Liberty's points. Kelli Harris-Wellman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Citrus Hill lost to Perris at home by a decisive 50-34 margin on Tuesday.
The win got Liberty back to even at 6-6. As for Citrus Hill, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Liberty against Citrus Hill in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 57-14 win. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Citrus Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
