Elk River had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Bemidji Lumberjacks. Winning may never get old, but the Elks sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row dating back to last season.
Elk River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braedon Becker led the charge by rushing for 172 yards and three TDs on only seven carries.
