The Nuview Bridge Knights were the 43-35 winner over the Temecula Prep Patriots when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Nuview Bridge might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Temecula Prep an easy 52-29 victory. Nuview Bridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.
Temecula Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby Bennett led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Bennett hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Alvarado, who scored six points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Nuview Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Temecula Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.
After both having extra time off, Nuview Bridge and Santa Rosa Academy will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 9th. Temecula Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 5:00 p.m. on January 9th. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
