The South Davidson Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 73-44 defeat at the hands of North Rowan. South Davidson lost against North Rowan in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 99-72 score last time.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tanner Walters, who scored 13 points along with five assists. The game was Walters' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Davis, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for North Rowan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
South Davidson has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Lexington is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for North Rowan, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Central Davidson is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
