Softball Recap: West Laurens Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

While West Laurens put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Cross Creek. The Raiders blew past the Razorbacks 16-0. Considering the Raiders have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Laurens is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Cross Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Laurens will host Georgia Military College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Cross Creek, they will welcome Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Razorbacks are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
