Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Vista Murrieta couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the St. John Bosco Braves by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Broncos' defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Dylan Berentis was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Ryland Duson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Brady Luyben was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Vista Murrieta's loss dropped their record down to 23-6-1. As for St. John Bosco, they pushed their record up to 24-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
