Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Capitan). They were the clear victors by a 22-2 margin over the Golden Valley Cougars on Monday. Matthew McQuillen made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Camden Peterson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Gaoiran, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
