Green Mountain has won four straight games at home, while D'Evelyn has won four straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Rams will host the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Green Mountain came out on top against Pomona on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive 14-run first inning. The Rams were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Panthers. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly 15 runs.
Jenna Neuenschwander was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Neuenschwander was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Green Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, D'Evelyn got themselves on the board against Pomona on Tuesday, but Pomona never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 14-0.
Like Green Mountain, D'Evelyn also got a great game from a two-way player: Nava Basquez. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Basquez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, D'Evelyn got a massive performance out of Lyla Nagy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Valentina Lamas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
D'Evelyn's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Green Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Green Mountain has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like D'Evelyn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Green Mountain suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to D'Evelyn in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
