Olathe West faced Blue Valley Southwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Owls fell 2-0 to the Timberwolves. The Owls' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Ella Stowell paced Olathe West's offense, picking up five kills. Stowell got some help from Neely Leathers and her 15 assists.

Olathe West's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.
