They came out on top against North Shore by a score of 60-49. Given Beaumont United's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while North Shore is ranked 282nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beaumont United got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayde Dotson out in front who scored 14 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clarence Payia, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Beaumont United pushed their record up to 23-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for North Shore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-13.
Beaumont United will be playing at home against Kingwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Shore, they will head out on the road to square off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
