The Barr-Reeve Vikings's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-36 victory over Eastern Greene. For Barr-Reeve, this counts as revenge for the 48-26 loss Eastern Greene walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
Barr-Reeve's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Bledsoe, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Bledsoe continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava B Carter, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Barr-Reeve's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Eastern Greene, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will square off against North Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Knox is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 14 games. As for Eastern Greene, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Clay City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
