The Hobgood Charter Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Cape Hatteras at home to the tune of 84-50. Hobgood Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 29 points or more this season.
Hobgood Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Khrie Rascoe out in front who scored 21 points along with six assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rascoe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyhe Higgs, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Cape Hatteras still got an impressive performance from Griffin Couch, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 54% of Cape Hatteras' points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was David Amortegui, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Hobgood Charter back to even at 7-7. As for Cape Hatteras, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
Hobgood Charter will square off against the Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cape Hatteras, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
