Softball Recap: Carrollton Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Carrollton proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the California Pintos 4-3. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pintos, too.

Carrollton pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Carrollton will challenge Salisbury at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for California, they will square off against Russellville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pintos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
