Northpoint Christian is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Munford is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Northpoint Christian will host Munford at 4:03 p.m. on Friday. Northpoint Christian's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Munford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Thursday, Northpoint Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Lewisburg and fell 6-5. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Northpoint Christian saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Bennett, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Bennett a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Munford never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Millington Central 9-0. Considering the Cougars have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Gabriel Jones made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellie Kate Billings, who scored a run while going 3-for-5. Joci Wilkins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Munford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millington Central only managed nine hits.
Munford has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. Northpoint Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Northpoint Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .387. However, it's not like Munford struggles in that department as they've averaged .371. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northpoint Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Munford when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 9-6. Does Northpoint Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Munford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
