Conwell-Egan Catholic posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Little Flower Catholic for Girls 68-32 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-15.
It was another big night for Lily Milewski, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Aizen, who scored five points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Parkway Center City was able to grind out a solid victory over Constitution on Monday, taking the game 46-34.
Parkway Center City found their leader in underclassman Jessica Canty, who almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, nine rebounds, and 12 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Canty has scored at least a third of Parkway Center City's points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Weaver, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and five blocks.
Conwell-Egan Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Parkway Center City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Conwell-Egan Catholic have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Parkway Center City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.1 rebounds per game.
